The Hydrangea Color Influencer (HCI) kit is designed to allow the hydrangea grower to measure the pH in their pot or around their plants and then influence the color of the flowers produced by their hydrangea. When you buy the kit, you will be asked to pick the colors you would like to influence your plant to produce - blue/purple or red/pink. So after you measure the pH, you can then apply the recommended dose of the product we include in the kit, water and then watch your plant grow and see the flowers!
The Red/Pink:
The fertilizer provided with this product is alkaline or high pH. This blocks aluminum absorption into the plant and influences the plant to grow red/pink flowers.
Apart from the special alkaline “flavor”, Red/Pink also includes Ultra Chelated Iron which should also add to the red/pink color. Follow directions in the label in order to influence the color of your flowers.
